Before and After School Program

Complete Care for Working Parents

Welcome to the Infant Jesus School Before and After School Program! The B&A Program offers supervised care for your child/ren before the start of the school day, as well as after school. Children may be brought to the Before School Program beginning at 7:30 a.m. The After School Program ends at 6:00 p.m. These programs are available each school day and also on early release days.

Before School

Children who attend the Before School Program meet in one of the kindergarten classrooms for supervised free time or in the computer room. The Before School Program opens at 7:30 a.m. and continues until 8:30 a.m. at which time the children are allowed to enter their homerooms.

After School

Children attending the After School Program meet in the cafeteria for supervised free time, homework, crafts and/or other activities. Students are allowed to complete their homework in a quiet setting. Once done they may enjoy free play or crafts/activities or may play outside. The After School Program is available from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Sample After School Schedule

3:00 - 3:30pm	Snack time allows children to talk among themselves and easily make the transition from their busy school day to After School.
3:30 - 4:30pm	Homework: students with homework begin working on their homework, and join others outside as they finish. There is always someone available to ask for help.
3:30 - 4:30pm	Nice weather allows the children to go outside and enjoy playing various games. During the cold months, the children do go outside so please send appropriate clothing! During inclement weather the children will take part in various indoor activities.
4:30 - 5:30pm	This is free play time. A variety of activities are offered, including games and supervised crafts.
5:30 - 6:00pm	Clean-up time.

Registration

Registration may be completed during the IJS Open House in the Fall or throughout the school year as needed. Registration forms are available in the school office. There is an annual family registration fee of $16.50.

On early release days, for children staying after 3:30 p.m., there is an additional charge of $5.25 (one child) or $8.25 (two or more children).
