Communication

We believe that communication between the school and the parents is a critical part of the education process. These web pages provide information for parents. For current news, we send out a monthly "shuttle" which contains both the school newsletter and the parent group newsletter, and a weekly Thursday email message with important updates. Copies of back issues of the school or parent group newsletters can be found by clicking on the links to the left.

Uniforms

Educational Outfitters is the approved store for purchasing school uniforms.  Click here for information on store location, hours, and prices. You can see our school uniform on their website

Gift Card Fundraiser

Infant Jesus School will be using the Great Lakes Scrip gift card fundraising program once again this year!  This vendor acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non-profit organizations to purchase large amounts of gift cards from local and national retailers at discount prices.  Many popular retailers participate in this program including: JC Penney, The Gap, Kohls, Lowes, Home Depot, Shell, local restaurants, and many, many more.  You can see the complete list of participating retailers on the IJS Family Order Form. Enrolling and Ordering is Easy!

Fill out an enrollment form and send it into the office.  Each week, complete and return the IJS Family Order Form with a check or money order payable to Infant Jesus School for the total amount of gift cards you are purchasing to the school office.  IJS Family Order Forms received by each Thursday will be fulfilled by the following Friday.

School Cancellation or Delay 

Infant Jesus School will follow the NASHUA SCHOOL DISTRICT for weather related delays and cancellations.  If Nashua is delayed or cancelled, so is Infant Jesus. 

There is no one in the office to answer the phone until 9:30 am.

There are 3 ways you can find out about school closings and delays:

  • Watch WMUR-TV News 9 starting at 6:00 am
  • Listen to WZID (95.7) or WMLL (96.5)
  • Check out the WMUR website

In the event of a 90-minute delay:

  • Office opens 9:30 am
  • Half-Day Kindergarten session is cancelled 
  • The Full Day Kindergarten starts at 10:15 am 
  • Grades 1-6 start at 10:30 am. 
  • Chorus starts at 9:30 am
  • Beginner band starts at 9:15
  • Advanced band starts at 9:45
  • Drama Club starts at 9:00 am
  • DI is cancelled
  • Miles of Math is cancelled
  • Before School program starts at 9:00

(must be in class by 8:25)

 

Grades 1-6

9:00 - 3:00

(must be in class by 8:55)

First grade is dismissed at 2:50 pm
