Cross Country

The Infant Jesus School Cross Country Team is open to all students in Grades 2-5. We compete in the Nashua PAL Cross Country Program. Sixth grade students are welcome to practice with us and participate in selected races.

We train after school on the field located behind Dr. Crisp School.  The season runs from September through October culminating with the Nashua City Championship and the PMA Catholic School Invitational races. The team is coached by Mrs. L Roehm, Mrs. D. Roehm and Mrs. MacDonald.

Students in Grade 6 are welcome to train with the Nashua Catholic Cross Country Team which competes in the Tri-County League for middle school students. The philosophy of the program is based on individuals striving to be the best they can be.

Basketball Teams

Infant Jesus School offers the opportunity for our 5th and 6th grade students to play basketball for their school team which competes in the Nashua Deanery CYO league. Boys and possibly girls teams are offered. We will also field a coed 3rd and 4th grade team to play in the CYO league.

The season for all teams starts in mid-October and continues until the end of February.   Practices are on Wednesday nights at St. Pat's gym in Nashua and sometimes at Rivier on Friday or Saturday nights.

Cheerleading

Infant Jesus School will hopefully be forming a cheerleading squad girls aged 8 through 12. The girls cheer for the CYO basketball teams and also take part in CYO cheer competitions. The team practices at Infant Jesus School on Friday afterschool.

Ski Program

Learn to Ski/Ride Program Open to all students, grade 1 -6, and their families, the Infant Jesus Ski Program will be traveling to Pat’s Peak on Mondays. Students will be bused from school, and returned to school for pick up between 7:35 and 7:55 pm.

About Pat’s Peak Pat’s Peak is located about 20 min. west of Concord, and is an outstanding area for learners. Fully lit for night skiing, the children will be taking an hour ski lesson, and have time for free skiing and a quick stop in the lodge for something to eat. Students are grouped by age and ability for their lessons, and have the same instructor from week to week.

If school is canceled, there will be no ski program that evening and Pat's Peak will determine a way to compensate us. Good news - for those of you with children at Nashua Catholic, their ski program is also held at Pat’s Peak, on the same days! Transportation

The bus ride to/from the slopes will be part of the comraderie and fun! The fee for the bus transportation is $75 per student. All children are required to purchase bus transportation. If your child will be leaving the ski area with a parent or friend, a written note must be provided in advance. Chaperones Needed In order to make the program successful, we need both skiing and non-skiing parent volunteers! Please consider volunteering to help out at least one night.

We need help: (1) loading the bus at school (plan to arrive at 2:15); (2) upon arrival at Pat’s Peak to help children get their rentals and to lessons on time; (3) to be in the lodge for when students come in for a break; (4) upon departure to help children gather their belongings, return their skis, and get to the bus on time; (5) to be on the slopes (if you ski). All chaperones must have completed the Safe Environment program, will receive free bus transportation, and will have fun!
